St. Jude is leading the way the world understands, treats and defeats childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases. The mission of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is to advance cures, and means of prevention, for pediatric catastrophic diseases through research and treatment. Consistent with the vision of our founder Danny Thomas, no child is denied treatment based on race, religion or a family's ability to pay.
Morningside Music Bridge (MMB) is one of the Calgary Philharmonic's suite of educational programs, made possible through a partnership with the Morningside Music Bridge Foundation. Each summer, the program is in residence at the New England Conservatory staffed by leading performers and teachers from many of the world’s leading musical organizations. Morningside Music Bridge embodies the highest international standards of excellence, bringing together outstanding young violin, viola, cello, and piano students ages 12-18 from around the globe for a month of intensive music making including extensive solo, chamber music, and string orchestra performance opportunities. Morningside Music Bridge is a highly sought after full scholarship program. The only criteria for admission is exceptional talent. Over our first two and a half decades, about 1000 young artists have benefited from the barrier-free music making experience. Our alumni have become today’s leading classical musicians performing on stages around the world, in key positions with the best orchestras, and teaching at top music schools.
